Flamenco

After touring La Familia, we were too tired to wait for the ho-ho, so we took a taxi to the hotel. By this time, we could get into the room, so we went upstairs where our luggage was waiting for us. While unpacking, even though we were now up for over 24 hours, we decided we were hungry, and we knew we wanted to see Flamenco. We went downstairs to talk with the concierge about Flamenco. He suggested Tablao where we could eat and watch Flamenco. Yes. He made the arrangements, but due to the time, we could not eat at the Tablao.

I had no idea what we were in store for. All I knew was Flamenco was dance. But, it is so, so much more. It is telling a story by dance. I was mesmerized.

With guitars, singers, and fast footsteps, we felt the energy of the story even though we could not understand a word that was spoken. There is romance in that.

 The male arrived.

And with him, the heartbeat of the lovers, the story. The song, the guitars, the dance, the looks, the closeness of the man and the woman combined to make this an hour to remember.

The finale.

Now, we were very hungry, so we took a cab back to the hotel and looked for a restaurant that was open. We found one a few steps from our hotel. We ate. Then we slept. Me, not so well because I was over tired. What a day --- what a day and a half!

Until tomorrow...have a good day!
